What this is
A late-night hip-hop and all-mix DJ night at one of Tokyo's most storied Black music clubs, HARLEM in Shibuya. Resident DJs YUKISS and YUITO anchor the lineup, joined by a roster of eight guest DJs including Nikka Ninja, NOGU, TAIGA, Rash Bone, BEEN, rinsanity, and mana. Photography on the night is handled by Kohki Kanai.
Who should go
Hip-hop heads and club regulars who know HARLEM's reputation — this is a scene night, not a tourist-friendly introduction to Tokyo nightlife. Works best for those happy staying out past 1am.
Good to know
Entry is pay-at-the-door — no advance tickets needed, but bring cash as door charges are typically cash only at HARLEM. HARLEM is located on the 2F/3F of the Across Shibuya building and has a capacity of around 700 across its floors, making it one of the larger dedicated hip-hop clubs in Tokyo. The ¥700 per-drink deal runs until 25:00 (1am), after which standard bar prices apply. Foreign visitors should note that HARLEM has historically been welcoming to international guests but ID is required for entry — a passport works fine. Expect the room to fill up properly from midnight onwards.
